Hi, it’s nice to meet you!

Linda is a food writer and photographer who hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She is a Nyonya Peranakan with family roots from Taiping. She grew up with a mixture of Peranakan and Cantonese food at home and learnt some of her favorite recipes first hand from her mother, grandmother and aunts. Later on, she travelled the world and came into contact with Japanese and Western cuisines that she enjoys cooking. However her culinary heart will always be Malaysian Chinese with a lot of spices!

Paul comes from Georgetown, Penang and is related to the Khaw clan from Bukit Tambun from his mother’s side. He grew up with Peranakan and Penang Hokkien food and assumes that Penang Asam Laksa is the best culinary experience in the world. Paul enjoys all kinds of Malaysian Chinese food and he is very glad that he gets to taste them at home here in Wyoming, USA. Paul helps in writing stories and cultural bits for the blog. He is also the part-time video cameraman for our food channel, Chomel Productions.

Our home, our sanctuary
